Groceries Online
As winter approaches, grocery shopping can expose you to unnecessary health risks and can be a time-consuming outing. Thankfully, online grocery shopping can take the stress out of filling your trolley, as well as ensure that no extra goodies sneakily find their way to the checkout.
Regardless of where your supermarket allegiances may lie, it’s always best to look into all your options, as you may be able to find a more convenient service or find a cheaper option or an online service that is easier to use.
You will only really know how good an online delivery service is when the driver knocks at your front door and hands over your groceries.
When you can, it’s a good idea to take advantage of free deliveries to give the grocery retailer a test run before you have to pay. But keep an eye on delivery charges, because the more you pay, the less benefit there is from shopping online.
While Coles and Woolworths are at the forefront of online grocery shopping, there are other retailers available, including:
- Grocery Run
- IGA
- Kogan Pantry
Aldi do not have an online service at this stage.
Most of the online grocery services have a similar process to place an order which works in the following way
Step 1. Go to the online grocery retailers online page
Step 2. Create an account
Step 3. Choose the items you need
Step 4. Choose delivery or collect in store
If you want to collect your items at a store, some stores have a Click&Collect option. To do this you will typically need to select which store and what date and time you’d like to collect your order.
If you want your Items delivered to your home, select an address, day and delivery time frame for your items to be delivered.
Step 5. Pay safely via Card or PayPal or in some cases the retailer will call you to take payment over the phone and arrange delivery.
